It's good to be back...

Hello everyone,

It has been far too long since I shared anything on here but I guess that's the perks of dealing with school and a multitude of personal matters. That said, I'm definitely getting back to writing because one of my goals is to get my pilot script and, at least, episodes two and three finished before this Summer.

What's everyone else working on? A series? Some feature-lengths? Feel free to let me know and thanks for stopping by to read my goofy post.

Phillip E. Hardy, "The Real Deal"

Adam: I just finished a new feature screenplay and this week, I'm going to do some editing on an older work.

Michael Nguyen

It's been far too long since I've been back to Stage32 as well after initially freaking out over a layoff. Now, I'm three months into a new position offered to me by a temp agency and I'm actually getting the hang of what I'm supposed to be doing. For my return to Stage32 this time around, I am aiming to make sure I make proper use of nearly all of the scripts I have written and turn them into the desired products they deserve to be, and hopefully get things right this time around...or not!

Phillip E. Hardy, "The Real Deal" That sounds great. What are your scripts about if you don't mind me asking? Or are you not ready to share that info yet? Either way, that's understandable.

Adam Washington

Michael Nguyen I know how it feels to experience a layoff but I'm glad you found a new position and I hope it goes well for you!

Your plan for your scripts sounds good to me. Are you trying to submit them to competitions or to The Blacklist? I'm hoping to do the latter when I finally finish my pilot and the edits for my feature-length script. I also want to take some of my short film scripts and either turn them into short films or submit them somewhere because the first option might be out of reach for now until I obtain more money so I can pay actors, a director, etc.

Adam: I've written over 50 scripts and teleplays in nearly every genre. I have a thriller feature film being released later this year. I invite you to check out my S32 page, which will give you a good idea of what I do.

Phillip E. Hardy, "The Real Deal" I just checked out your page and I'm certainly impressed. It's awesome to know that you've written so many works and one day, I'm sure I'll get to that point but for now, I just have short film scripts, 2 episodes of an unproduced web series, and I'm working on both a pilot and polishing a feature length.

I'll definitely have to check out "Purgatory Station" when it comes out. Do you have an idea when it'll be released date-wise? Also, will it be in theaters or on VOD as well?

Adam:

It sounds like you got some good things going. It's about the long game and let me know if I can be of help. Bridge and Acorn Productions is handling the distribution channels for PS. I'll have more information a few months.

Maurice Vaughan

Hey, Adam. Hope things are going great for you. I'm turning a short script into a feature script.

Adam Washington

You're right about that, Phillip E. Hardy, "The Real Deal". And I'll reach out if I need help with all of this. Thank you.

Adam Washington

Hello Maurice! Yeah, things are going pretty well for me right now. And that's great to hear. Sometimes, short scripts can be expanded upon and that's kinda what I did with my feature-length that I wrote in Word a long time ago.

Sam Sokolow

Great to see you here, Adam. Excited to hear more about what you’re working on.

Maurice Vaughan

Glad things are going pretty well for you, Adam Washington.

"Sometimes, short scripts can be expanded upon." Yeah, and sometimes when I write a short script, I have to hold back on writing certain things because of the page length and the budget, but those aren't much of a problem when I turn the short script into a feature.

Adam Washington

Thank you Sam Sokolow. Currently, I'm writing a pilot about a college graduate with a violent past who must choose between his old ways or coming up with less-lethal ways to take down his enemies after finding out the truth behind his best friend's disappearance. There's more to it but that's the logline for now. What are you working on if you don't mind me asking?

Adam Washington

Oh, I know all about having to hold some things back for short scripts, Maurice. This was something I've always had to do during my writing classes but we were dealing with short film scripts at the time. Nowadays, I don't have to worry about cutting out too much but I'm always making changes on some of the scripts I've done thus far.

Amanda Toney

Great to have you back, Adam!

Adam Washington

Thank you for the kind words, Amanda Toney! Can't wait to start sharing my works again.
