Screenwriting : A tip for writing or just like about anything. by Rey Fernandez Jr

Rey Fernandez Jr

A tip for writing or just like about anything.

I am new to screenwriting but have worked as a composer for over 15 years. I always give one tip to people who have worked for me that I learned from my father that works for every creative role, and it is actually quite simple, it actually helps with both procrastination and mental blocks, and furthering your career, here is my greatest advice, my father's biggest secret and golden tool for creation: do one thing that you are most passionate about every day. If writing stories is your passion, write 1 page each day; if reading books is your passion, read at least 1 page per day; and if making songs is your passion, compose at least 1 chord progression per day, or just whatever you are passionate about it will work.

It may not seem like much, but if you write one page every day for 365 days, that is more than enough for a feature picture. I hope this information is useful. I too believe that it is preferable to write 1 good page rather than 10 in a rush. If you can master this and accomplish 3 or 5 a day, then by all means, Congrats. Everyone be blessed.
