Hello from North Carolina!
Actually, I started in Indiana. I've been making up stories since I could probably talk. I was lucky enough that my high school had a television station in the mid 1980's. That is where I decided I wanted to tell stories through video.
After working at various television station including NBC and PBS - I ventured out on my own with my company Digital Rain Media. When not freelancing, I try to sit down and write. Working on three TV Pilots and a made for TV Feature.
I did some pitching several years ago, but things have changed, so I need to update my work and create pitch materials. If you have some great advice, I would love to hear it!

Hey Rodney Myers! I'm so glad you're here because you're definitely in the right place! We have a TON of opportunities for pitching with Pitch Sessions, members of the Writers' Room can practice pitching weekly at the Pitch Practice and once a month with an executive at Pitch Tank, and we have some phenomenal classes that can show you how to create a winning pitch. I'll put some links below that you can check out, but if you'd like to check out some materials to help you with Pitch Sessions, shoot me an email at success@stage32.com :)

Hey, Rodney Myers. Great to see you again. Is your Christmas Holiday themed script one of the projects you're gonna be pitching again?

Rodney Myers hi Rodney, Maurice Vaughan would be a good person to talk to about pitch materials.

I worked at PBS too! I worked at the smallest station in the US and I interned at NBC in Washington DC as well :) I concur with Geoff Hall 's advice !

Maurice, It's on the list. I have a first draft of the script, and need to start on pitching materials. I feel like I need more story for the script, too. Any thoughts?

Wendy, The smallest PBS Station? I'm curious to know which one that is. I was lucky enough to be working when Antiques Roadshow came to town. Great bunch of people to work with. We recorded over 50 segments in one day including a painting worth $750,000! Since I was Grass Valley Certified, I got to Technical Direct about third of those segments.

Wendy - that would have been a small station! I looked it up and the population now is less than 20k.
The first school I went to had a PBS Station and the town was about 10k back then, late 80's.
Must have been fun working at such a small station, everyone had a lot of impact!
Did you write an outline for the Christmas Holiday themed script, Rodney Myers? If so, you could go back to the outline and see where you can add more story. Maybe add a subplot(s), major sequence(s), or major character(s) if they add to the script and they're not filler.
Here's a great webinar about pitching: www.stage32.com/webinars/Pitching-Tips-from-the-Pros-Your-Blueprint-to-a...
Do you have a pitch deck for your script? If not, I suggest making one (or getting one made). Feature script pitch decks are becoming more and more common.
