Screenwriting : Please someone should help the poor soul longing to be a writer. by Alvin Kelly

Alvin Kelly

Please someone should help the poor soul longing to be a writer.

I just want to be heard. I just want my script to be read by people and as well their feedback. I just need a helper/mentor in script writing but LOL, can I get one? when I have no dollar to pay, when all I get is a big day dream, Talent with no financial.

C'mon Alvin, you just have to write and dump it as you always do. Fuck! that's such a waste of talent and that makes me now wish for things I never assumed I'll do wish for. wishing I'm rich or perhaps came from a rich family, wishing I'm aren't struggling to survive or even get something to eat., I would have gladly spend all the penny I have on seeing myself through.

All I need and longing for is for someone to at least give his/her time to my script, just to read it and tell me where I stand, if I should give up on my day dream or I should move forward, without asking for any penny. Please someone should help my poor soul longing to be a writer out, I fucking need a mentor/helper/underwrite!

I know nothing comes for free in this world but sometimes, something's are worth sacrificing for.

Hi Alvin, professionals have to be paid for their services. There's absolutely no room or time to dance around that. What might benefit you is for you take your spec script to an older student that might have seen a lot of passes and/or rewrites and who might know what to look for in your genre. Just a suggestion. Whatever you do, please don't stop writing.

John Austin

Organise a script swap via writing forums, such as r/screenwriting, or join CoverflyX, Scribophile or similar writer exchanges and put the work into helping other people develop their work so people will help you develop yours.

I totally get not having the money. Heck knows things have been tight for me recently, but there are options out there if you're willing to give back what you're asking for.

Alvin, you're more than welcome to post your script right here on Stage 32. It's free of charge. Just go to your profile and it'll show you how to upload your screenplays/TV scripts.

Glad you're here...and I wish you all the VERY BEST!

Nathan Woodward

Hey there Alvin, great art comes from pain, in that respect I think you're on the right track. You don't have to commit to a full script. What Jim said is true. Post it and message me and I'll take a look when I can get to it, but I'm pretty busy.

E Aguirre, Jr.

I've spent hours trying to develop a scene writing prompt community at LiveJournal (.com) and you are more than welcome to contribute scenes you want to share for the purpose off feedback. I'm at blanketing.com and I'm frequently uploading my typewritten scenes at tmtwngm.livejournal.com. Incidentally, I've been sharing my scripts for such a long time, I've encountered them in movies. Beware of what you share!

GiGi Raines

Hey Alvin, you can certainly start right here meeting and connecting people to read your scripts!
