I quit my job to put down some of my ideas because it was nearly driving me crazy lol. I know, in this economy, it was probably not the wisest thing to do....but, I'm sane, I'm happy & my storytelling skills are improving. I write across all genres; but mostly thrillers, I'm currently writing my first sci-fi script & it has been challenging; I love it! Although, no one told me how impossible it'll be to get someone to even look at your script, but, nothing good comes easy, right? It can be quite lonely as a writer, especially if you're doing it full time, because no one can see your mind and all the beautiful stories that live within, so they can't fully understand when you try to explain your vision to them. I really hope I get to tell my stories, at least one before I die, it'll be a shame if no one sees them come to life. Well, I'm glad I found a community of like minds on this platform, here's to telling stories & staying sane

Yeah, getting access/someone willing to read can be a challenge. I’d suggest going to meet.com and searching for screenwriting groups in your area. You’re able to share your pages with others and get/share feedback for what is and isn’t working in your script. Happy writing/creating!!

Comfort Ihueze Hi Comfort, yes it is difficult but you are in the right place. Check out the Script Services tag on your browser window. You’ll find lots of help there and people that you can get your script in front of! Have fun.

Welcome aboard, Comfort!
Don't ever feel guilty for following your instincts, regardless of how our economy looks right now. Glad you joined our community of like-minded people.
To tell you the truth, I am working only part-time with welfare funds that I'll still receive until July (I'll either go back full-time or look for another job) to focus on this and other projects in my life. So, I relate.
