Hello everyone! I'm new to this site and excited to get to know some of you! I have my own small scale video production company here in SoCal. I've worked as a production assistant for over 5 years now. Just want to surround myself more with people who have the same goals as I do!

Nice to meet you, Hugo Arreola. Welcome to the community. Where did the name Small Rain Productions come from?

Thank you Cecelia Settem
Nice to meet you as well Maurice Vaughan . The name was originally inspired from a short story written by Thomas Pynchon. Over time, the name began to take on a new meaning and inspiration that comes from my father.

That's a great backstory, Hugo Arreola. I haven't read any books by Thomas Pynchon (they're on my reading list now), but I know he wrote the foreword in "1984." It's one of my favorite books. What inspiration did your father give you (if you're ok with telling)?

Welcome to the Stage 32 community, Hugo Arreola! We're so excited to have you here!
The best way to network here on Stage 32, is just to put yourself out there by posting, commenting, and connecting with people from all over the world. The most effective networking comes from building genuine relationships over time. A great way to start is by checking out the Cinematography and Filmmaking Lounges where you can join discussions, pose questions that you may have, provide advice or insights, and share news/announcements that interest you.
You can find the lounges through the toolbar at the top of your browser window. Simply click on "Lounge", which will direct you to a new page listing all of the current lounges available to you. Then select "Cinematography" or "Filmmaking/Directing". I hope to see you over there!
