Who’s looking for Horror Screenplays

I know the writers strike is going on, but if anyone knows right off the bat any producers and production companies interested in horror screenplays, please say something, I'm trying to setup a list so in the future I can instantly start pitching.

Sam Mannetti

Hi Rikki, great to meet you. We have a ton of fantastic executives in the Stage 32 fold who offer consultations on horror screenplays. I would recommend checking out Michael Wormser (https://www.stage32.com/scriptservices/coverage/buy?id=29&exec=51&genre=... script) or Sam Fox (https://www.stage32.com/scriptservices/coverage/buy?id=29&exec=2175&genr...). Let me know how it goes!

Maurice Vaughan

Hey, Rikki Orgullo. Are you a member of the Writers' Room? There's an Open Writing Assignment for high-concept Horror features until July 11 (www.stage32.com/happy-writers/contests/Producer-Seeks-High-Concept-Horro...).

And here's Stage 32's statement on the strike so you know what happens when you submit your scripts to Open Writing Assignments: www.stage32.com/strike

Rikki Orgullo Stage 32 's free membership is incredible, with many courses offered at no cost. In "My Purchases" I have a full page of of mostly pitching courses that were absolutely free. No other screenwriting platform comes close to the education one can gain here without spending a dime, but the Writer's Room, which does cost $39 a month, takes Stage 32 to a new level, so it's worth every penny and more because of the Open Writing Assignments. . As Maurice said, there's a producer in the Writer's Room right now seeking horror, and there almost always are producers seeking horror in the OWA.

Jed Power

Good Luck, Maurice. Is there anywhere any of your scripts can be read?

Maurice Vaughan

Thanks, Jed Power. I have scripts on my profile, but since the WGA strike is going on, I set my scripts to private so I'm not pitching scripts. I'm non-WGA, so I can pitch scripts to non-signatory companies, but I don't feel right pitching while the WGA is on strike. I can email you one of my scripts if you like. I have shorts and features.

I have a potential connection at Shudder when the time comes. Our elevated horror concept veered into thriller and then did a flat-out u-turn into drama so we're probably not using the connection anytime soon.

Do a search on IMDbPro for producers and use the filter to find those that do horror genre. Best of luck!!

Blood list's New Blood...it's annual, it's for real (winners have chance of getting produced) and it's free...
