Hey everyone, I'm Demeter Lorant, indie filmmaker and animator. My goal is to broaden the spectrum of horror and science fiction cinema by creating indie movies with unique visual direction and thought provoking subjects. I have made several shorts, music videos, documentaries in the past 20 years. I have a small animation studio based in Budapest / Hungary. I just finished an animated sci-fi short and I'm in the pre-production phase of a horror feature. I want to connect with actors, producers and distributors interested in the horror / sci-fi genre indie filmmaking, I'm happy to collaborate with like minded people!

Hey Rutger, thanks for reaching out! Sure, but it depends. Do you want to use live footage with post processing or do you want to make full animated characters, backgrounds etc. ?

Hi Deneter, More like the second one as extra material for pitching a screenplay called "Serial Twins." I simply like to stay in touch with soneone that can pull of the right feel -- this untill I can caugh up the money to get some art done.

Awesome! Hungary sure has produced some amazing work over the years. Curious if you could suggest some of the "unique visual direction" you admire in other directors/companies? It would helpful to know what you're into.

Hey Nikolas, thanks for asking! I'm very much into artistic horror such as Cronenberg, Gaspar Noe, Haneke but I'm huge John Carpenter fan as well. Here in Hungary the genre filmmaking is not so prominent unfortunately - I'm hoping to change it haha - but we have a few very interesting film directors like Bela Tarr or Attila Janisch.
