Such a great classic, but I can't stop thinking about Ace Venture.
It's been so long since I've seen "Cliffhanger," Leonardo Ramirez, but I remember the rescue scene. That shows the impact of a great opening scene.

I've seen a lot of movies that Rob Cohen directed, Billy Kwack. My favorites are "Daylight" and "The Fast and the Furious."
"Ace Ventura: Pet Detective" is hilarious, Thomas Salpietro! "Rusty, a loser. Looo-serrr."

Hi Maurice, awesome, I know they have comic books on Bruce Lee
Did anyone write a cliffhanger scene for the prompt they want to share? Here's mine:
INT. HOUSE - KITCHEN - NIGHT
Cooking equipment lines the counters. Cute cartoon animals, kid drawings, and family photos decorate the fridge. Delicious smells float around the homey kitchen. Mouthwatering lasagna bakes in the oven.
A sweet, harmless woman, KELLY COOK (60s), mixes ingredients for chocolatey cookies, humming.
An expensive diamond necklace hangs around her neck.
EXT. HOUSE - BACK - NIGHT
Darkness wraps around the secluded house. The only light comes from the kitchen.
INT. HOUSE - KITCHEN - NIGHT
A cellphone on the table rings. Hands covered with ingredients, Kelly looks at a small, advanced device on a counter.
KELLY
Answer my phone, Cara. Put it on speaker phone.
Cara answers the phone, putting it on speaker.
KELLY
Hello?
No answer on the phone.
KELLY
Did you put it on speaker?
CARA
Yes.
Kelly picks up the phone.
KELLY
This is Kelly Cook. Who's calling?
Eerie silence. The call ends. Kelly sees "Unknown Number" on the screen. She swallows, rattled.
Kelly sits the phone down. A noise comes from outside. She swings around, stares out the window at the dark. The man is gone.
Kelly's hands tremble.
KELLY
Cara.
CARA
Yes, Kelly?
KELLY
Make sure the alarm is on.
CARA
The security system is armed.
KELLY
Thank you.
CARA
You're welcome. Should I put on some music to calm you?
KELLY
No.
Kelly pulls her attention from the window. Her shaking hand grabs a sharp knife out a drawer.
She lays the knife beside the bowl and goes back to mixing ingredients. The mixing calms her.
She looks at the knife as she mixes and smiles, feeling safe. For now.
EXT. HOUSE - FRONT - NIGHT
The dark outline of a huge, muscular man stares at the front door. The outlines of a fat man and a small woman join him.
The huge man looks at the left corner of the house. The outline of a medium height woman nods at him.
The huge man looks at the right corner. The outline of a tall man nods.
The medium height woman and tall man disappear around the house.

It was a sad opening, Billy Kwack. And suspenseful. It's a great scene for someone to study if they're gonna write a Thriller script.
Haha David Abrookin. I see what you did there.
