Hello All! The weekend is almost here, the AMPTP and WGA are still talking so sending out that positivity that it’s going well! Road tripping to Vegas tomorrow w 5 friends to see Barry Manilow, yep…it’s times like these, I start thinking “would this be a fun short film?” How about you? As you get yourself into situations do you think, now this would be a good movie?!

Happy Friday, Xochi Blymyer! Excited to see how the talk turns out. Hope they agree on a fair deal.
Wasn't Barry Manilow the person Bender was talking about in "The Breakfast Club"?
I think it'd be a fun short film. I think "this would be a good movie" when I get myself into situations. When I see other people get themselves into situations too.

Yeah, Bender was talking about Barry Manilow, Xochi Blymyer (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZEA-P60OLQ). Haha I didn't know who Barry Manilow was when I watched the movie.

I can't remember ever being in a situation worth a good short story, except when I was traveling by train with Bobby Farell. Already wrote about that here, it's a story I can't find it anymore. It's at least a few years ago I told/wtote that story on Stage32. Fun thing was people did not believe me, I guess that's how it goes with larger than life stories. But hey, at least I know it had some impact.

So funny that I wrote this post - the trip there was fine, all was well...except the brakes seemed to be performing worse at end of trip - turns out there was a hole in the brake line and we had lost most of the brake fluid! Luckily there was an auto repair open yesterday but the car had to stay in Vegas, we rented a car to get home and still have to go back this week to get the car (that was borrowed!)

I guess it was Geoff, if I can ever find it again I repost it. Forgot the title it's under.

Actually, yes...I am open to ideas wherever they come from, so much the better if I am in the middle of it. Seeing a story and characters requires creating some emotional distance - and affords some emotional distance [for difficult or stressful personal travails]. Yours sounds like a pitch XB!

Glad you (or whoever) found out about the brake line before it was a problem, Xochi Blymyer. Another road trip. This is sounding more and more like a movie. :)
