Summary of the 2023 WGA MBA
The following is a summary of the deal terms for the 2023 MBA. It is a simplified version of the Memorandum of Agreement ("MOA"), which contains the full text of the new provisions.
Chris Todd

It's a heck of a deal. Well earned.

Maurice Vaughan

You're right, Chris Todd. I read through the summary, and it's incredible what the WGA got for its members. I think protection against AI is the most important part.

Edward Veltre

I also read a tweet, and I am so proud that the WGA got the deal they wanted. Writers, we have beaten Skynet!

Maurice Vaughan

"Writers, we have beaten Skynet!" Celebration!

Joseph Follansbee

Great news! Does anyone know about rules for honoring SAG-AFTRA picket lines? How do WGA members support their brethren?

Maurice Vaughan

I'm not sure what the rules are, Joseph Follansbee, but I've heard a lot of WGA writers say they're gonna be at the SAG-AFTRA picket lines. If I hear about any other ways to support SAG-AFTRA, I'll add the links to this post.

Mike Boas

I’m no expert, but those terms read like victory to me!
