Stage 32 is excited to welcome Eric for his upcoming class. You will work one-on-one with a veteran multi-cam comedy writer to write your very own pilot episode for your multi-cam series. You will not only write your pilot episode but you will learn the fundamentals of writing a multi-cam series and how to create a successful series that can go on for multiple seasons.
By the end of screenwriting lab, you will have a completed draft of your multi-cam pilot script in hand that has been vetted by an industry professional and that will serve as an effective writing sample to help you find a rep, get staffed on a TV show or successfully sell as a spec!

Hey everyone! I'm so excited to go on this multi-cam journey with you all. My favorite place to be in the world is inside a writers' room. For the next 6 weeks, I want us all to consider this lab a working writers room, the only difference being we're developing a bunch of different projects at once. Let's work together, support each other, laugh together, and most importantly - complain together about everything under the sun!

Hi, Hasan. This lounge is for a class where I guide people through the process of writing a multi-cam pilot. Stage 32 does have services for getting your work in front of producers, but unfortunately this lounge and class are not part of it. Good luck!

I’ve watched 31 multi cam pilots this weekend. I gotta say- I amend my “wish I’d written for” to Dharma and Greg. it’s perfect.

BTW - Speaking of family-owned bar multi-cams, SULLIVAN AND SON ran on TBS for two years. Worth checking out if you haven't. Some things about it really work, some elements could've been better. I actually helped out on the pilot, as the show runner was a mentor of mine. I was even offered a staff job, but was already on Baby Daddy.

Teri Bayus - I am impressed!!!! Nice work - It's been awhile since I've watched the DHARMA & GREG pilot. I'm adding it to this weeks list! I enjoyed SULLIVAN AND SON back when it was on. UNDATEABLE was another bar-set multi-cam (it had its ups and downs). This all made me think of another multi-cam called ABBY'S which is interesting because it was a multi-cam that shot outside as the bar was set outside.
