Pretty good! I met a lot of new faces. I got to meet RB, Emily and they were really nice. Overall, the whole conference was good. I made a number of contacts that will hopefully turn into some work in the future.
As for how I got into storyboarding, it was a fairly organic approach. I didn't do any classes or have training. I've always loved movies and comics. I tried my hand at getting into comics, which is pretty much a storyboard with a couple of different rules, but the scripts read very much the same. From there, it was responding to ads on Craigslist for local gigs to build a portfolio, then approaching production companies.
Awesome Douglas Brown - glad you had a great time! I got my start writing a graphic novel. I checked out STORMIE and it looks pretty cool! Glad you're with us on Stage 32.
Maurice Vaughan , I just wrapped up a spot for Charter Communications, and I got in contact with someone who I've been working with on his film for the last year. We've been slowly pecking away at scenes while he pieces together funding. But I'm always on the lookout for more. Let me know if you need anything.
@leonardo Ramirez, thanks for checking out Stormie! I've been working on her for almost six years. I finally compiled a pitch packet I showed some people at AFF. If anyone else wants to check it out, it's on my site stormiecomic.com.
How was the AFF and the Stage 32 party, Douglas Brown?

Hi Douglas. Do you know Mark Simon? I think my grandson should be a storyboard artist. How did you get into it?

Nice to meet you, Douglas Brown. One day, I'm going to make it to AFF. I hear it's a great networking opportunity.

You're very welcome, Douglas Brown. Any project with a deep mythology attached to it usually does take a while. I found that out with HAVEN OF DANTE.
