Looking for a director who takes quite aesthetic contrasting shots.

Welcome everyone in this field,

I am in search of a talented director to collaborate on an exciting project. I am a screenwriter and the author of a captivating crime mystery TV series "Red Pool", set in Europe within the confines of an old villa.

For the initial phase, I am specifically looking for a director to create a teaser video that embodies a European aesthetic, reminiscent of vintage or creative indie styles and elements. I envision a visually stunning short video that captures the essence of the series, showcasing the contrast between intense storytelling and aesthetic beauty.

To give you a better understanding of the desired style, I have attached some reference photos that exemplify the atmosphere and visual direction I have in mind. I am particularly drawn to the intense yet aesthetic approach seen in Gilles Paquet-Brenner's film "UV" from 2007.

The plot of the series of Red Pool is intense, passionate, aesthetic, and mystic, and it has the potential to captivate audiences. I am confident that a director who appreciates and excels in this style will bring a unique vision to the project, resulting in a high-quality teaser that will leave a lasting impact.

I have already garnered interest from several producers who are eager to collaborate on this project. However, I firmly believe that the director's contribution is paramount in creating the perfect teaser that will set the tone for the entire series.

If you are a director who resonates with this style and is passionate about bringing this vision to life, I would be thrilled to discuss this opportunity further. Please feel free to reach out to me at your earliest convenience, and I will gladly provide more details about the project.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to the possibility of working together and achieving great success.

Warmest regards.

Hello @Mash Your vintage crime series Red Pool sounds intriguing. What year is the period piece set in? Whereabouts in Europe? From the one photo above many differing ideas spring to mind so options for creative vision need refining. EG Style, tone & voice will differ considerably in detail between each of the decades. Also location of each country will differ in social, economic & political norms of the day. Thanks for the share!

Hi @Debbie, I can't disagree with you.

Every detail is considered, the script is written on a specific villa in Austria.

The time period is the present.

There are specific details that can be changed, such as a villa, a specific mansion and not the atmosphere since there are several options for these villas. I have symbolic details in the script, which also refers to the architecture, exterior and interior style. I am in the selection stage now. If the producer suggests to shoot in another country for good and also match the specific symbolic details that I have described in the script, that would not be a bad idea either.

We can discuss other details in DM, depending on your interests.
