Charles Regan

Actor, host, presenter, passionate car enthusiast, historian, speaks English and German

Hello everyone,

I'd like to introduce myself to you all.

I am an actor and presenter who first appeared on television back in 1972; since then I have acted in several film, TV and stage productions. I'm a presenter with experience in presenting live to audiences of all sizes, in English and German. Am a passionate classic car enthusiast and restorer with a collection of British classic cars. During my career I have lived and worked in the UK and Germany, Austria and Poland; have also travelled extensively in Central and Eastern Europe, including Russia.

I have just completed a film directed by award winning film maker Mina Mileva, and am currently making another film playing the lead role in an international feature film. I welcome opportunities for further roles and will work worldwide.

Maurice Vaughan

Hi, Charles Regan. Have you done any races or restored any cars lately?

Charles Regan

Hi Maurice hope you're OK. No races but I am restoring a car when not acting. It's very nearly complete now

Sam Rivera

Nice to meet you Charles Regan !

Raquel Pimentel

Hi Charles Regan, first of all, welcome. You did very well joining us!

Maurice Vaughan

I'm doing great, @Charles Regan. Hope you are too. What kind of car are you restoring?

Charles Regan

It's a Jensen Interceptor convertible, which is quite rare. I'm putting it back together after a full respray.

Charles Regan

You too, Samantha Rivera.

Maurice Vaughan

A Jensen Interceptor convertible is beautiful, Charles Regan. What color is the car?

Richard "RB" Botto

Prolific, Charles! Congratulations on the latest gig.

Charles Regan

It's Reef Blue, Maurice; it;s a mid blue metallic shade which was one of the colours offered by Jensen when it was new.

Maurice Vaughan

That's a pretty color, Charles Regan. How many colors were offered when the Jensen Interceptor convertible came out?

Charles Regan

They offered a standard range of colours (not sure how many) and would also paint one in any colour the customer wanted, as they were handmade cars. The car was originally brown, a standard Jensen colour which they called Havana, , but although I'm a bit of a purist when it comes to originality, it seemed a shame to paint it brown when there were some lovely other colours in their standard colour chart.

Maurice Vaughan

Handmade cars? That must've taken a lot of time, Charles Regan.

Charles Regan

Very much so, Maurice. Several months to build each car.

Maurice Vaughan

Are handmade cars more valuable to collectors, Charles Regan?

Charles Regan

Hi Maurice, it depends on the marque and model more than anything. Some mass produced cars are fetching huge sums these days, while some handmade cars are quite affordable.

Maurice Vaughan

I didn't know that some mass produced cars fetched more money than some handmade cars, Charles Regan. Well, I guess if you're talking about mass produced supercars and hypercars. I guess I'll learn all of that when I write that classic car "Fast and Furious" script one day.

Charles Regan

Some can, Maurice. The Ford Sierra Cosworth fetches upwards of £30, 000 these days, while a Vauxhall Lotus Carlton in good condition will sell for £100, 000. At the same time, you can buy a decent Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow for £20, 000.

When you do write the script, please bear me in mind; I'd love to present it.

Maurice Vaughan

I'll definitely bear you in mind when I write the script, Charles Regan. I have the perfect role for you: car enthusiast/coach/mentor.

Charles Regan

That sounds great, Maurice!
