Hello,
A bit of background: I have written and directed two feature films (MUSHROOMS with Julia Blake and Lynette Curran, available on Prime, and WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE? With Robert Morgan, Debra Lawrance and Richard Healey, also produced by me, purchased by the ABC). And several shorts and plays.
Along the way, I’ve had 23 script development investments from the various funding bodies. I’m sitting on a library of well-developed, polished feature screenplays in several genres, all marketable to a general audience. My intention was to direct/produce myself but, despite having Hugh Jackman and Ian Richardson and Columbia Tristar onside, it didn’t happen. Realistically, my credibility as producer was not strong enough to attract the required budgets. I’ve bitten the bullet and decided to give up on directing etc. Wasn’t an easy decision but it would be a shame to waste good scripts. Of the five which are particularly strong, one is in negotiation with a Melbourne producer
I want to see these scripts in the hands of the right people, which to me means local folk who can do a good job with them.
I’m looking for some advice on connecting and dealing with these ‘right people’.
Regards,
Alan Madden

It's great to meet you, Alan Madden. Congratulations on your success! I agree. It'd be a shame to waste those scripts. Have you pitched to execs, producers, etc. through Stage 32's Pitch Sessions (www.stage32.com/scriptservices)?
