About Mario

As aspiring Fight Choreographer, I, Mario Leone, had the invaluable opportunity to undergo meticulous training under the tutelage of the esteemed fight choreographer, Philipe Deseck. Renowned for his work on iconic films such as Mortal Kombat and Aquaman, Mr. Deseck guided me through a comprehensive journey in fight choreography, delving deep into the nuances of hand-to-hand combat, weaponry, and various martial arts techniques.

Under Mr. Deseck's expert guidance, my training spanned a diverse array of combat styles, encompassing knife and stick fighting, as well as mastering empty-handed maneuvers. This well-rounded approach ensures my versatility as a combatant, poised to tackle any cinematic challenge. While my training may not have included armor and firearms, I possess a unique expertise in the art of wielding a bullwhip, adding an exciting dimension to my skill set. As a graduate of New York University (N.Y.U.) with a background in Film Studies and Directing, my proficiency extends beyond the physical aspects of fight choreography. I also had the honor of serving as a screenplay judge for the Irvine Film Festival from September 2013 to 2014.

From crafting Bullwhip scenes to choreographing sequences involving Tomahawks and Knives, I excel in orchestrating diverse and captivating fight scenes. Leveraging my background and skills, including my experience as a First Assistant Director (First A.D.), I seamlessly blend artistry with realism to create memorable battles on screen.
