Hello Everyone,
My name is Babatunde Akinlade (Tunde for short). I am a Nigerian living & studying in Dallas TX. Figured I’d finally introduce myself after all this time. Being a lover of film and great storytelling through its various mediums, I made the decision to venture out of my comfort zone at the beginning of the year by pursuing my dream of writing and directing my first animated feature. Titled “Ọ̀rìṣà” my animation is inspired by the oral history, traditions and mythology of the Yoruba people of Nigeria to which I belong. It has been quite an interesting journey thus far. I am excited to meet and network with fellow writers, artists, and people who share the same love and passion of storytelling that I do.

hey I've traveled to Africa 3 times and recently spent one year in West African country of Guinea Bissau (got back in September) . The beliefs are still very pre colonial there. As for Nigeria I don't know too much except one of your Afrobeats artist Omah Lay and his song Soso which is so spiritual and one of my favorites

Welcome, Babatunde Akinlade! You should definitely spend time in the Stage 32 Animation Lounge where you can join discussions, pose questions that you may have, provide advice or insights, and share news/announcements that interest you.
You can find the lounge through the toolbar at the top of your browser window. Simply click on "Lounge", which will direct you to a new page listing all the current lounges available. Then select "Animation".
