Great interview. Matt certainly puts in the time, effort, and endless process. Former actor myself. Here I am pictured in one of my favorite stage roles-- as novelist Paul Sheldon in MISERY. Fun Fact: My feet barely touched the stage throughout the two-hour running time. Act One: In a bed. Act Two: In a wheelchair. Following the climatic fight scene at the end, there was a blackout, where upon I leapt from the wheelchair, ran offstage wearing boxers and a t-shirt. The crew tossed me into a full tuxedo in one minute, 45 seconds. Lights up. I enter, approach the podium placed at center stage in order to receive an award for Best Novel. That show was such a blast as the cast consisted of only two characters. : )

It's incredible how actors can take an entire paragraph and deliver it with just one look, Amanda Toney.
Subtext is everything. And thank you for the compliment @Maurice :)
