Screenwriting : Hi all, I'm new by Jill Carlton

Hi all, I'm new

Hi all, as it says above, I'm new. I was inspired to sign up for Stage 32 oddly enough beause of the Monster Pitchfest debacle.

When it was my pitch prep day and I couldn't get hold of anyone, I was horrified to realize that I really don't know many people at all who would have signed up for it. So... Many thanks to those of you who shared your frustrations about it, leaving me the breadcrumbs to follow to join.

I have decided, in spite of the debacle, that I'm going to keep adapting my novels to screenplays, and update my listings (to start with) on InkTip. I hope to learn a great deal about my fellow authors and screenwriters. in the future, and am excited about what this opportunity offers.

Thanks much, I hope to start building friendships soon. Please stay well and safe.

Jill.

Not sure what happened to my previous comment - but cannot wait to see how your journey of adapting novels into screenplays goes! Sounds interesting!

It's a very interesting journey, trying to keep the quality and depth of the primary storyline without wasting space on side stories that one can delve into when writing a novel. :D It's great to be here, thank you for the warm welcome! I can't wait to get a couple more go-throughs under my belt so I can submit to blacklist and wescreenplay for some coverage. :D

Hi Jill Carlton, I also began as a novelist. I found converting a novel to screenplay interesting. Enjoy the journey...

Hello Jill, welcome. Frustration is, unfortunately, part of being in the line of work we are involved with. Keep writing, listing and try to stay positive. Send me a message if you want to get to know one another.
