About Mister

It all started when I first watched The Little Mermaid and E.T. All at once, I fell in love with stories that moved on screen and gained one of my first fears, aliens.
Next, on a random very special day when a VHS copy of Star Wars: A New Hope was sitting by the TV, the world changed forever. Pew pew pew, vmmm vvvvmmm vvmmm. That says it all.

As time goes by, days turn to months, months into years. Music becomes a central part of life by learning piano, sax, guitar, and various instruments. Yet sports is where it's at, picking up basketball, baseball, then skateboarding and even golf. But all that pales to this 90s kid, for video games ruled the world that blended with my obsession for film.
With Rudy Salas
With Master Fumio Demura

As a kid, through the ages, I’d ditch school to go to the best film school in the whole world, the local cinema. My passion for film exploded right before my eyes and knew that was the calling. My parents signed me up as a child actor/musician and I started working on a variety of sets and shows.

It wasn't until my connection with Lizzie McGuire, thanks to Rory J. Shoaf and Polly Ann Mattson (Set PA and AD who helped get those in front of the camera to see what was behind the camera), I started to get a feel for production and how the set was run. That was intriguing. The director creating the scene, bringing words to life through actors, the crew working as one. Cut!
Simultaneously, on the music side, I got my start in recording music with the legendary Rudy Salas (of the band Tierra) and V. I got deep into music with my own bands and recording other bands. Even had a few songs play on the radio. That was a trip!

A few years later, Grey's Anatomy came along and that’s when it all clicked. I was blessed to be with the crew, learn about cameras, directing, setting, and more. It was a blast!

Not too long after, I randomly came across a dojo that had this interesting real traditional vibe. Turns out, the dojo was led by Master Fumio Demura, world renowned shito-ryu karateka. He trained Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris and a whole lot more. The dojo is also involved with the film industry as the go to dojo for martial arts films and stunts. As a matter of fact, the film 'The Karate Kid' Mister Miyagi is based on Master Demura from personality, philosophy, to fighting style and was the stunt double for Pat Morita.
I'm close to progressing my training for a black belt.

Then a few years later… later, life happened. Writers strike, career shift into music, moving from place to place, people coming and going, lost journeys, major ups and downs.

After all that, there was a time of naivety and unguardness that swept me away on a journey of enlightenment. Upon my return, I became more aware of those who are crooked and those who are real. It was a major gap in time. Time away from it all.

I spent a good deal of time talking and helping random people on the streets, holding discussions with prisoners, experiencing places or events of inspiration, making new close friends, and always learning, growing, and re-inventing myself.

And, just recently, another writers strike happened(and actors strike). But now it's over. Whew.

My films bring forth the voices that need to be heard. I’m an advocate for mental health, justice to those who experience injustice, and a separator of truth.
Mainly, being true to yourself and letting that shine.
These stories are told through a surreal, silly, funny, and at times “horror” lens. Yet they are full of heart and end with the light shining through.

Currently, I’ve teamed up with Lorry Future to create Puzzle Pieces. Puzzle Pieces is our film and sound production company that will bring stories to life, whether our own or others.

I also work with the legendary soul singer Little Ray at his studio, LA Sanctuary Studios, film and sound engineering. And I've worked for and learned amazing tricks from the amazing Peter A Barker(who worked for Sony, Interscope, and currently owns Spin Move Records and his studio).

Every good gift comes from above and I intend to share that.
