I signed up for a class with ScreenwritingU. I chose a payment plan over 5 months. I got charged the first month and received the syllabus a week before the online class. However, the syllabus didn't list a time or link to the class. All I knew it was starting on a Monday. I emailed both "Hal" and "Cheryl" on the Wednesday and Thursday before the class. No response. I had to dispute the charge, and now they charged me a second month. I emailed them again this past Monday. No response. When I tried the number listed on the website, I got the "mailbox is full" message.
.
Very shady. Buyer beware!

It’s not a scam. If you have issues, email Hal and Cheryl. It’s a small company and they don’t have a giant staff. But they take care of their students.

I agree with Christopher, I have found that site to be valuable to many writers. Reach out again and see what happens and keep us posted in this post.

I stay away from ANYTHING that has monthly payments. Even though they all say it is easy to quit, it rarely is. Tried to quit aN ebay subscription for 6 mos. and finally suceeded after many tries and lots of aggravation. Now tring, unsuccessfully so far, to get back 6 $22 charges they took from my account, even though I had notified theM that I had quit, everytime i got monthly bill.
Thanks, Chris, but I have emailed them numerous times to Hal, Cheryl and their support email. No answer from any of them.

Wow, this post is getting to the bottom of it....Keep us posted about how this turns out for you....
Hi Randall. Cheryl is usually the person that handles the billing issues. Did you also try the customer support ticket system?
I have seen Con artist to. They are the reason it is so hard to trust people.
