Introduce Yourself : Disallusioned Septuagenarian by Robin Witney

Disallusioned Septuagenarian

At the right age of 75 and really have no interest in a career in screenwriting, what I want is someone young to take my Trilogy and write the screenplay my story deserves, I have written three screenplays part one of the novel of 564 pages and found it took two screenplays to capture the essence and flavour of the first part The Shimmering. With help I got the two into one, but he made changes and it started to drift from my plot. Ok I know authors hate their work being changed so unrecognisable, in my case this doesn't work.

The story follows an ordinary guy given incredible wealth and extraordinary mental powers by a underground civilization and takes on big businesses to reduce the world obsession with carbon. The resulting consequences is killing their only food supply.

Those that have helped so far believe that everything happens to easy for the hero, but I think there wrong. Simply all superheroes succeed and audiences know, a bit of kytponite thrown in to make him mortal until someone kicks it away. Our/ my hero does have an edge with his given extraordinary mental powers working with a civilisation who whose transportation can cover the globe in 45 minutes. So the hero does have an enormous edge on his protagonists.

Books 2&3 are somewhat easier as they just follow the problems created in book one to a conclusion.

The Shimmering will franchise I am positive and with the possibility of several TV series.

So looking for someone to help me to get the pitch in front of someone, Blacklist reviewers have said it's a mega money as it takes in the whole world but it can be produced in studio and probably big on special effects, I have ideas on all the sci-fi aspects.

If there's anyone out there I am pretty sure it will boost their career and pay packet.

Hi, Robin Witney. You could also post an ad on the Job Board (www.stage32.com/find-jobs).

After the screenwriter finishes the script, you could pitch it through Stage 32's Pitch Sessions (www.stage32.com/scriptservices/pitch-sessions). The Pitch Sessions are mainly to get feedback on pitches, but some people have connected with executives, been signed by managers, etc. through the sessions (www.stage32.com/scriptservices/success-stories).
