I’ve been a writer since I first learned to grip a pencil in my grubby little hand: Freelancing for magazines, starting up newsletters, writing short stories on night shift, writing novels, writing screenplays…
Somewhere along the line, in a newly imagined life, I minored in Film Studies, majored in History.
Currently, I’m co-producing an historical documentary about skydiving. Skydiving played a big part in my life for a decade or so. I was an instructor and I met the man of my dreams at the dropzone.
I’m a hybrid author, meaning I’ve been published “traditionally” by Knopf/Random House, and independently by small press, and I have self published. I’m happy to share what I know about the process of publishing, which is, like everything else, in a state of flux.
