I am a novelist who has recently leapt into script writing. I am working on a project with a friend who has contacts with a few film makers, but I need someone to go over my script and show me formatting flaws, as this has been mentioned. I would also like input on the script in general. I knocked it out in three weeks thinking, "this isn't that hard!" only to realize that yeah, maybe it is. Any recommendations?

Hey Mary, you can always get coverage on your script here at Stage32. Readers will definitely provide feedback on formatting, structure, and big picture items (character and plot development, dialogue, etc.) You can check it out here: (https://www.stage32.com/scriptservices/coverage/buy?affid=pata)

Mary Rice I'm sure Dan should be able to give you a few formatting tips if you send him a few pages. I would get that out of the way first before looking for feedback. What software are you using? It's possible that importing it into some of the available tools writers here use can clean up the formatting in a jiffy.

I'm using Final Draft. It's been great in many ways, but I'm learning that I should have allowed myself time to go through the tutorials!

Let me know how it works out with Dan.

Mary Rice FD is good, but sometimes it takes some trial and error with the workflow of using menu clicks versus key-board shortcuts.

Right now I’m going through correcting some transitions and trying to get it below 120 pages. It’s 123. Then I’ll send some pages.
