I am a true southern girl, born and raised in North Carolina. Ya'll is a natural word in my vocabulary. I love this area of the country, even though it has a complicated history. And I love how it has grown into the diverse and dynamic place it is in spite of that history, or maybe even because of it. I believe that history is something we should all embrace, because looking back teaches us valuable, often painful lessons that shape who we will be in the future. It was in looking back that I found my latest story.
I was a freelance copywriter for years before becoming a published author in 2017. After a chance meeting with a local woman in rural Georgia in 2021, I wrote my first movie script, inspired by real characters from her life. I am currently working on a book version of the same story, TAPESTRY.
