Holy cow, Richard "RB" Botto. I hoped they were going to get this done this time. My heart is with the creative community. Paramount and its tentacles are active buyers and pretty much at a standstill over this in terms of hearing pitches and buying original ideas. I hope they figure this out.
Complicated deal with many moving parts, Sam Sokolow. Like the Waystar Royco deal. Sheri seems a bit unsure like the Roy children. Wouldn't shock me to see Skydance back in the mix if this continues to drag out. Although at this point with so many others circling, perhaps we'll see Lukas Matsson and GoJo enter the fray.
Not only are creatives suffering from Paramount's slow down in buying content, but make no mistake, Paramount will cut departments to skeleton crews to trim costs and satisfy shareholders. Let's grab the opportunity in the chaos to make a legit offer for BET. Short of court-ordered (asset-damaging) sale, it will never be cheaper, has up and running infrastructure, & without reputation-hurting / re-brandabilty. What investment group within S32 has the gas to put a team/offer in play for this life-changing opportunity?! Come on - Due diligence couldn't be that tough with this well-known brand!

Sean T. Clark makes a good point about this being a real-life Succession! It's like a prime time soap drama.

Many, many variables in play here, Sean T. Clark. Every potential suitor seems to value a different piece.
