Completed the final draft of Burke and Hare - The West Port Murders yesterday. I say final draft but I'm sure there will be others, but right now I have exhausted it. Personally, I am so pleased with what has been achieved and I'm confident the take up will happen. Meanwhile I've returned to a full length feature that I started last year with the temporary title Flatmates. It is a contemporary psychological drama which could support a lower budget but it will be quite dark (though, conversely, the first 20-25 minutes could be described as a Friends/rom-com type in the lightest definition). Hoping to have the first draft complete in the coming weeks, but it wont be the last. Then I'll be starting on another period crime drama about forgers in the 19th century. Anyway, for Burke and Hare, I got another gong at the Best Script Award (London) for Best Television Script Pilot on July 10 while receiving some great tips from people in Stage 32. Updated the scene photos/characters for Burke and Hare at https://www.hereandback.co.uk/screenplay which is worth a glance.
