Producing : Producers for Feature Film by Viktor Bury

Producers for Feature Film

I’ve finished screenwriting a feature, and I’m looking for producers passionate in the idea to help me build this. I don’t want to go the traditional route of finding an agent and pitching to companies, as I’m looking to direct the feature and keep it independent. Thoughts on how to find the right people? Does anyone here have any interest? I’m happy to send anyone the logline, POC, and whatever else, just get in touch. Any suggestions are also greatly appreciated!

You could search for producers in the Browse Members section, Viktor Bury (www.stage32.com/people?name=&location=&roles=Producer).

Stage 32 also has in-person Meetups that are great for networking with producers, directors, etc. (www.stage32.com/meetups). If you don't see a Meetup in your area, keep an eye on the Meetup section for future Meetups. And you could start your own Meetup.

Maurice gives great advice here, Viktor Bury. I also recommend emailing the Stage 32 Success Team at success@stage32.com and ask for their guidance with specifics on your project. They are amazing at helping to connect members with the right people to move the needle on your projects and career.

Hi Viktor - to really help you in that process to get a producer build up your credits

If you're really serious, spend about $5000 and attend film festivals & film distribution market conventions. Face to face with ppl with skin in the game.

Good for you... If you haven't directed before your ask will be even taller - BUT don't let that discourage you. It's how we get things started by rolling up our sleeves and getting to work. Don't put it in the hands of others - you will be more passionate about it than any of em and you have the most to gain/lose here, so think about finding a way to shoot a scene or two to help build the confidence in the investors or producers you will be approaching. Deep breaths, Viktor Bury you've got this!

Shane Stanley I did actually shoot a proof of concept trailer and sample scene for investment purposes, so I’d be happy to send those over if anyone wanted to take a quick look

It is scary to try and venture out and do the project exactly how you want it done. It will probably create extra roadblocks, but may very well be worth it in the end. I want to suggest a class for you that might help. How To Financially Produce Your Feature Film

taught by Viviana Zarragoitia might be the starting point you need on your journey. Let me know what you think.
