Tom Lapke

Tom Lapke brings over 20 years of professional experience in the arts to his role as Dir. of Global Education at Stage 32. He began his career as an actor in NYC, but switched to working behind the scenes after his website, Audition Update, was acquired by Backstage.

Tom spent three years at Backstage as their Director of Education and Events before moving on to become a partner in Six Legions Media, the then parent company of Reelac and Actors Launchpad.

Having been a professor at multiple universities, including NYU, Borough of Manhattan Community College, and Catawba College, as well as a repeat guest at the Actors Studio Drama School. He is widely considered to be an expert on the Business of Acting and has helped 100s of performers further their understanding of the business of show.

Tom is a lifelong film nerd and is thrilled to bring his extensive knowledge of cinema to Stage 32.
