Hi everyone. I was excited to join Stage 32 and got a script request almost right away. I waited with excitement for the response. It finally came--only it was the response for someone else's script. I wrote to customer service right away, but after a couple lukewarm notes telling me they were on it, no one will respond to me. I find it very disconcerting that I have the script notes someone else is waiting for--and what's become of my script? Does anyone have any idea as to how I can get some assistance? I've been trying to get help for almost two months. Thanks.

Hi Carolyn, have you tried emailing the Success Team here at Stage 32? If not, I find them to be amazing. Their email is success@stage32.com.

Any luck with Stage32's support team, Carolyn Gray? I'm having trouble as well trying to get someone --- ANYONE --- to respond to a mistaken charge by Stage32. I've never had trouble before with their Support Team, but recently, for whatever reason, that's changed.

Hi Francisco, I did get a response saying they were on the issue...but I was told that two months ago. I'm going to need to see it to believe it. I'm sorry you are also having trouble! This is such bizarre customer service for a business that seems to be otherwise well organized...

UPDATE: I received my critique. It was amazing. The producer had wanted to meet me, and of course, I didn't know. She is also seems legit interested in the script. But customer service has not provided me with a way to get ahold of her, after now four emails from me, and almost a week gone by. This is kind of like a Stage32 nightmare...

Great to hear you had an amazing critique. Skip the middle man. If you know the producer's name, contact him/her directly.

I think I'll pile on....The week of August 18, I was travelling a lot. Drove (from my home in Maryland) to the Hudson Valley in NY to pick up my granddaughter from summer camp. Drove to Newark International Airport to put her on a flight to California and that required an overnight stay. I didn't take my computer w/me because I don't see this granddaughter too often so I wanted us to spend as much time as possible. Once I got her onboard, drove home. Thursday, had to be at work. Checking S32 and I see that I have a script request (from a pitch). I'm delighted but I can't send the script from work because the material is not on my work computer because personal stuff is not allowed. Finally, I get home, eager to send my script. Log on to S32, find the listing in my Purchase History...and what's this??? The script has already been loaded and sent to the producer. Uploaded?? By whom? It wasn't me. Certainly didn't authorize anyone else to tamper with my intellectual property. Worst part...the producer was sent a much older draft. Not the latest draft which I would have sent...if I had been allowed to send it. I exploded. I was angry beyond words. I emailed Writer Support and Mr. Botto to bitch. Quite honestly, it probably the nastiest, most invective-laden email I've ever composed. I attached the draft I would have sent...had I been allowed to send it. And urged them to get it the producer ASAP. Finally assured that it was. Problem...do I believe them. Not totally. There's really no way to verify.

How frustrating, Michael. It's bewildering why they don't invest resources in their customer service.

I think it's the result of their explosive growth. It's difficult to quickly staff up, especially in a field as specialized as the movie/TV/entertainment business. My overriding question is: who decided it was OK to handle my copyrighted intellectual property and send it to a producer w/o my permission? That seems like a real ethical breach.

You're right, Michael Elliott, about Stage32's "explosive growth" and the ethical breach.
