The best way to sell your show as an unknown writer without any credits is to have your manager find someone with a development deal/overall deal/first look deal to help you develop it/package it and bring it to who their deal is with.
That’s it. Otherwise you’ll hear every excuse in the book as to why they’ll pass on you. “This is too similar to what we have”, “our slate is full”, “we have things in the pipeline similar” “we’re not looking for this kind of project right now” blah blah blah.
Trust me on this. They will find a reason to pass even if it’s the best script they’ve ever read.
