We’ve been watching this documentary on the BBC iPlayer. I’m not sure what other services it can be viewed on, but this is a gripping and harrowing as well as a must see.
It moves along from Zelensky’s days as a comedian and TV star, to running for and winning the Presidential race. It also delves into the Bucha massacre (genocide) and its effect on him, along with his personal life, which includes interviews with his wife and friends.
In my mind, it’s a must see and if you can, please check it out. It’s a documentary of the highest quality.

Oh, I have to look for this. Just the idea he went from comedian to the present day of what he's done sounds unreal, doesn't it?

Remarkable man and warrior. Ukraine is lucky he came along at just the right time.
Watched a few eps of his sitcom, "Servant of the People." Fun. Fairly Western sense of humor.

Xochi Blymyer Hi Xochi, we watched the first episode and it held us in a great sense of disbelief. He was doing shows, not unlike it seemed to us like SNL. And then we were thinking, how on earth did he manage to become the President of the Ukraine?
As it unfolds you see this change in him, the pressure of the Russian invasion, on his wife and friends and the genocide at Bucha! It’s an amazing story and we only hope that this amazing tale has a great ending.

As a creative person, I don't support any wars and I can't give an excuse for killing people.

I don't think much of this person Zelensky as I am against warfare and am a strong believer in diplomatic ways of achieving results.

What balls to mount an offensive against Russia.
Sean Penn shot a great Doc, "Superpower." Penn happened to be in the Ukraine when the shit hit the fan. It features a few interviews with Zelenskyy in those early days.

This all very interesting. It helps to have an open mind not taking side but it's good to see from the perspectives of both sides. Everyone knows wars are very messy and no good for anyone, but the politics makes an interesting argument. I haven't seen this yet, but will try to find it.

William, no one wants war, but Ukraine was invaded. Should the populace instead have lain down their arms and allowed Russia to roll over them.
Diplomacy since this illegal and horrific incursion has been forwarded. Putin will have nothing to do with it. The only way to handle an insane bully is to push back.

Zelenskyy's story is incredible. From acting as a politician to becoming one and leading a country through a war is about as unbelievable as it can get. I just hope this war can come to an end soon and peace can be found somehow.

Zelensky should have done far more in the diplomatic area before the (second) invasion. Besides he needs the support for war of NATO and Europe, and frankly we have nothing to do it with it as there's sufficient space to leave peacefully altogether in Europe. Another thing is he recently has invaded Russia for no good reasons. He is very much pro army, war and violance, whether he gets it or not.

HI Geoff, a great posting I have a little bit ideia now,, who is Zelensky

Yeah, Zelenskyy should have sought advice about a future invasion from a crystal ball. WTF.
Getting pummeled by relentless missiles and drones for over two years, with thousands of dead, including children, might be seen as a good reason to counterattack an invader.
Jonas Vesterberg say what, Jonas?

Willem Elzenga which is exactly what he’s looking for; a diplomatic solution. But when the other side refuses to talk, you have to protect your own people.
