Not so much a tip but a place to find filmmaking tips: I love the Film Riot YouTube channel. Whenever I need to figure something out or brush up on a technique, I go to them first.
I just looked up the Film Riot channel, Lisa Lee. It looks like an incredible channel for filmmakers! Film Riot and SmallRig came up with a multi-tool kit (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=je1Oo2O5ggg).
This is cool Maurice Vaughan - thanks for posting. Not sure of a tip. Really work out what your vision is and then it's easier to figure out what equipment you really need so you don't go overboard.

I think the multi tool will be super useful for anyone on set.
