I write TV and features (comedy, dramedy, the odd horror and animation) and play guitar. As a writer, I am equally influenced by MAD Magazine as I am by Sesame Street. My scripts have placed as SF in the 28th Annual Fade In Awards and the Emerging Screenwriters Comedy Screenplay Competition (2024).
Hi, Wendy Appelbaum. I remember MAD Magazine. I used to flip through them at the grocery store. That and other magazines like video game magazines and car magazines. The magazine rack was like a toy store for me. I watched MAD TV growing up. It was hilarious! I was a BIG Sesame Street fan as a kid! What type of guitar do you play?
Actually, you might've told me that already, Wendy Appelbaum. I know barely nothing about guitars. Haha I wanted to learn how to play the electric guitar growing up.
That awesome, Wendy Appelbaum - I LOVED MAD Magazine!!!!!!! Do you remember "STARLOG" and "OMNI"? Those were also two of my favs. Always good to see you here Wendy. I need to dig through my old files and see if I have any.
As a teen I recall a Mad Magazine skit about Lost In Space when they were on a planet that kept getting darker and darker to their horror when all light disappeared. In the end we learn that's what happens when the sun goes down. LOL Looks like you're moving up in the writer world Wendy. Ah! Alliteration.

No time like the present.. :)
You're right, Wendy Appelbaum. I have an old Fantasy script idea about instruments. I might write that one day.
