Tips/Suggestions

Hi, everyone. My name is Rich Terdoslavich. Joining the lounge. I do storyboards and concept art. Regarding suggestions/tips to raise funds for your project, a lot of filmmakers approach me to illustrate storyboards and concept art as part of a presentation to clients/investors, to raise money for their films. I have done work for Precariat Productions, Whiteshell Films, and Madoff Productions, where my work was used to promote/advertise their film projects or in the case of Madoff, get a job from Victoria’s Secret. In the end, they accomplished that goal and I was happy to be part of a team/project that contributed visuals towards that objective.

My tip/suggestion to all filmmakers, would be to have something visual/graphic in your presentation to clients. Boards, illustrations and graphics, is an idea that you can use when pitching your projects to clients. Pitch decks and crowdfunding campaigns. Worked on them both and enjoy the collaborative process with film directors.

Here is an example of a concept art piece I did for Whiteshell. A cartoony/pop art style, medium interior shot. Each jobs is different, requiring a specific visual style that fits the overall aesthetic of the job. The cartoon style was the way to go with this job. I work in a lot of styles and genres. If you have any more questions regarding this, you can message me on Stage 32. Have a great day!
