Was wondering, how do y’all deal with self-doubt when it comes to your art? When you’re discouraged or otherwise not sure if you want to keep going (but invariably always do)?
Happy belated Christmas, Banafsheh Esmailzadeh! I push through the doubt and write or take break and go back to writing later. And the doubt usually goes away when I write something great. Talking to people on Stage 32 and through email about my doubt helps too.
Thanks Maurice Vaughan and that’s pretty much what I do, too. If I’m really stuck I write it all out in my journal and that usually helps me to remember why I’m doing this instead of some other thing. I’ll admit though right now editing is really messing with my head lol

You're welcome, Banafsheh Esmailzadeh. I like the journal idea. I might do that. Either a virtual journal or a paper journal.

Maurice Vaughan yeah journals are great to have, and you can of course get really nice paper journals.
