Hi there! I'm Banafsheh, also known as Bana. I specialise in strange and wonderful stories for strange and wonderful people, and I do novels, comics (which I also illustrate), and more recently screenplays. It is my goal to make lasting business connections to get all my offerings out into the world.
My strongest genre is drama, you won't find any work of mine without a good dose of it. My second strongest genre is psychological. I love getting into my characters' heads and bending reality. I also try to have at least a few bits of comedy in everything I write, especially my darkest stories.
My creative influences come from anime and manga as well as video games in addition to novels and film and TV. My favourite series are Revolutionary Girl Utena, Dragonball Z, Sailor Moon, Cybersix, Rose of Versailles, Oniisama E, YuYu Hakusho, and Samurai Champloo. I draw huge inspiration from Kunihiko Ikuhara, Satoshi Kon and Osamu Tezuka in particular.
Unique traits: I speak Farsi, Japanese, and German.
Marisol and Mezzaluna Drama A joyless young woman stuck in a rut reconnects with her childhood imaginary friend--only she's not imaginary anymore.
Finding Elpis Sci-fi ⋄ Adventure A music band, upon getting abducted by a superfan alien on their final show before breaking up, learn that they're galactic superstars and simply unpopular on Earth.
