Introduce Yourself : Hello from Jessica Tanner! by Jessica Tanner

Jessica Tanner

Hello from Jessica Tanner!

Hi Everyone!

I’m Jessica, a passionate screenwriter and Screenwriting Coach dedicated to helping writers elevate their projects and bring their creative visions to life. I love empowering storytellers to craft compelling characters and captivating scripts that demand attention.

This year is shaping up to be an exciting one for me creatively:

✨ I’m currently writing my first novel, which explores themes of resilience and overcoming adversity.

✨ I’m also revising two of my 1-hour drama scripts:

A Crime Drama filled with complex characters and high-stakes storytelling.

A Family Drama that dives deep into generational conflict and healing.

I’d love to connect with fellow creatives—whether you’re a screenwriter, filmmaker, or industry professional. Let’s collaborate, share ideas, and support each other’s journeys! Feel free to reach out or drop a comment below. Let’s make 2025 a year of creativity and growth!

Congratulations on writing your first novel! You said on Ashley's post that one of your goals is to travel out of the country. Where do you wanna go?

Jessica Tanner

Maurice Vaughan thanks so much for the blog! Great to meet you. I want to go to Panama.

Maurice Vaughan

You're welcome, Jessica Tanner. Panama is beautiful! I haven't been there, but I've seen pictures of it. How's your novel coming along?

Jessica Tanner

Maurice Vaughan it’s coming along well. I just finished writing chapter 2. I missed novel writing because of how detailed you can be compared to screenwriting.

Maurice Vaughan

Congratulations on finishing chapter 2, Jessica Tanner! I wrote a short story once, and I didn't realize that I needed to write so much detail. I got the hang of writing short stories, but it's been a long time, so I'm probably rusty. I might turn one of my short stories into a script one day.

Jessica Tanner

Maurice Vaughan one thing I’ve been doing lately is reading more novels. I find that helps me come up with natural descriptions.

Maurice Vaughan

I like that idea, Jessica Tanner. I'll try it if I start writing short stories again. Or if I write a novel. Thanks for the idea!
