I'm with Hayao Miyazaki, Kevin Jackson (He said he would "never wish to incorporate this technology into my work at all").
Using AI (either to fully make something or as a tool) is easy, but:
1) Making art shouldn't be easy, and sometimes artists come up with incredible art because they struggled to make it
2) There's no sense of accomplishment when using AI
3) Look at the consequences of AI in animation and other areas of the industry. People/companies are stealing from artists, and artists are losing jobs, which is putting more hardship on artists and their families.

I find it amazing how this niche is frying Chat GPT's GPUs.

I don't think there's a viable substitute for putting your soul into your art Kevin Jackson. And I agree with Miyazaki when he says, "Whoever creates this stuff has no idea what pain is.”

I think Maurice Vaughan and Leonardo Ramirez - while I do utilize chatgpt, it's more so for emailing and task related. I can only imagine spending years, decades to develop an art style only for a AI to come along and attempt to replicate what I've spent my life working on.

Cyrus Sales It's like RB says, research is fine. But I agree with you in that it's a tough swallow to spend your life to create who you are artistically only to have Mr. Roboto replicate it. I may have just dated myself. :o)
