Hi folks! As you may know, I'm working on a new feature LAUNDRY DAY, about the underbelly of downtown New Orleans. It's part of an ongoing mission to help create a genuine indigenous filmmaking community down here, which is still unfortunately below-the-line oriented, despite its amazing culture. Of the many talented local directors I know, one of the most exciting is Joanna Custer. She's doing a Kickstarter to finance the second in her "Short Stack trilogy" of films, a postmodern Western called SONUVABITCH (I'm Associate Producing). Jo has 2 weeks left to meet her goal and is in the infamous "middle doldrums" of the campaign, having already raised over $1600 from 48 supporters. She's doing a herculean task day in and day out, juggling the pre-production with the Kickstarter campaign, all while driving a cab in NOLA. To help her through the "second act" (and we screenwriters know what a bitch that is), I've decided to pledge $50 PLUS for every person who matches it by midnight on Sunday (4/14), I will add an additional $10 to my pledge. (As I'm sure you're aware, nothing is charged if the project's goal isn't met.) If you are: - a supporter of independent filmmaking; - a supporter of me; - a believer in women behind the camera; - a fighter for righteousness; - a lover of kick-ass movies; -and/all of the above… then this is a project you can be proud of. Match my pledge— http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/746656834/sonuvabitch-the-new-film-b... Get to know Jo— http://jocuster.wordpress.com/ About the film: http://sonuvabitchmovie.com/ Whether you pledge or not, please tell your friends and colleagues who might be interested. And let me know you pledged so I can boost mine. I've already had to double it, let's see how poor you can make me! :-) best _Randy www.ArmakProductions.com www.BurningAnnie.com
