Well the list is kind of dated as most all of them are dead and gone. But you've certainly hit on some of the greats. But I think it depends on your definition of the top 25 "what"? They are all iconic. But as Jacqueline Drury mentions some of them were great personalities like John Wayne, but not necessarily great actors. (Although Wayne did win an Oscar for "True Grit". I would also take exception to Humphrey Bogart.as a great actor. He's an iconic figure to be sure, and the star of some all time great movies. But Bogart was always Bogart in what ever movie he was in. He didn't have to act. He just needed to be himself and it was great. So again, it depends of your definition of "top 25".

A lot of people hate him but I'm going to put Christian Bale at the top of my list for modern actors. I NEVER see Christian Bale when I see him in a role. He just disappears and becomes.

I still want to know how you're "billing" this top 25, DeLouis? Is this supposed to be the "Top 25 Greatest Actors of All Time"?? Kirk Douglas is still alive, so it can't be just the ones who are in that big all star actors troupe in Heaven, LOL. But hey, I put my vote in for Robin Williams.... NOT just a comedian. :)

Its just the top 25 original actors...not the modern ones cause Michael Douglas and robert deniro and downey jr etc
Got it, that's what I thought. Well then I think your list should include James Cagney, "you dirty rat", LOL.... actually he never really said that line.

That's true. A lot of people think he did say that but he never did. It's the same with Casablanca and "Play it again, Sam".
