Introduce Yourself : Ernest Goodman, Director + DP by Ernest Goodman

Hello everyone! I have an experience in the film and theater. I directed plays of Anton Chekhov in the theater many times. Recently, I directed two short films based on the short stories of Anton Chekhov “The Guest” and “Marriage in 10 15 years’ time”. The Guest movie was in the official selection of the Hollywood Reel Independent film festival in 2012, Los Angeles. I works now on several projects but mainly on two film adaptations: (1) "The Bear", feature film 45 min length based Anton Chekhov’s play “The Bear” to be shot in Los Angeles. www.bearthemovie.com (2) "The Man in a Case", feature film 90 min length based on short story of Anton Chekhov to be shot in Los Angeles. www.themaninacase.com I primarily focus on the techniques of directing actors according Stanislavsky, Michael Chekhov, Stella Adler, Sanford Meisner and other methods. I teach ‘directing actors’ and ‘acting’ workshops in his own Goodman Directing and Acting Studio in Los Angeles. I wrote a book “The Art of directing actors” to be published 2013.
