Ernest Goodman

My name is Ernest Goodman. I am a film and stage director, cinematographer and web designer.

As a film and theater director, I love adapting the classic novels and plays of famous playwrights and writers: Anton Chekhov, Henrik Ibsen, Oscar Wild and others.

I have an experience in the film and theater. I directed plays of Anton Chekhov in the theater (“Three Sisters”, “Cherry Orchard”, “Sea Gull”) many times. They are meaningful and gorgeous. I directed two short films based on the short stories of Anton Chekhov “The Guest” and “Marriage in 10 15 years’ time”. The Guest movie was in the official selection of the Hollywood Reel Independent film festival in 2012, Los Angeles.
Currently, I work on several projects but mainly on new movie adaptation of the Anton Chekhov’s play “The Bear” to be shot in Los Angeles in 2013. Check out please web site of “The Bear” movie –

In directing I primarily focus on the techniques of directing actors according Stanislavsky, Michael Chekhov, Stella Adler, Sanford Meisner and other methods.
