Introduce Yourself : Actor/Writer/Producer by Tye Evans

Tye Evans

Actor/Writer/Producer

Hi guys! I'm Tye Evans, a Toronto-based actor/writer/producer. I am currently in writing for a modern-day western. I'm looking for an experienced writer to collaborate with/bounce ideas off of. I am also looking for an experienced executive producer. Regardless, I would love to meet you. Here is my acting demo reel: https://vimeo.com/59270823

Philip Sedgwick

Nice reel, Tye. Certainly I hope you write your western to be set in Arizona. This may be of interest: www.mollibenson.com, check out her western acting workshop. Best and here's to great things in 2014!

Welcome to Stage 32 Seth! Good luck with all you do and dream and have fun and great success networking here :)

Allan Chen

Hi Tye, I am Allan. I wonder if there’s any chance of me joining your project. I am not a writer, l am not even doing anything film related but I am quietly confident that given a script I can turn it into a decent film, of course I’ll be needing a lot of help. I like the idea of a modern western, like Dirty Harry. Come to think of it, why is there only one Clint Eastwood? There should be more and I’d like to think of myself as someone who can help in producing more. Best of luck to you.

Mike Wurst

Tye, I suggest you try and reach David Brown of Henderson, Nevada, on FB, LinkedIn or maybe even here. He wrote the biography of Chris Ledoux "Gold Buckle Dreams" as well as many other novels, stories and screenplays. He's also a former rodeo performer, actor and Agent (Remington Agency). He might be invaluable to you if he has time. Good luck and by all means let me know when the auditions are.

David A. Maisel

Writing a western takes special care (I've written one (among numerous other scripts). I'd be happy to consult with you and answer any questions you might have.

Barry Brown

Read my book it is 362 pages of great stories and most folks say it's the best they ever read. They also say they are waiting for the book to be made into a movie!

Danny Carroll

Its too long

Mitch McGuire

Tye very good reel and you are obviously a fine actor with a kind of freaky demeanor, which certainly is saleable.Disagree with Carroll who thinks it is too long. You ought to go to either NY or LA to get noticed more.

Tye, I personally thought the sequence of the car drive back from the hand-off was very moving. That was "something," as my favorite Chekhov teacher would say. I would cut out the music at the end since you don't have music anywhere else in order to keep your reel consistently without music. Blessings- Adam

Mario Farwell

Hello Tye, I like your acting reel. It was very impressive. I'm a playwright, librettist and screenwriter based in St. Louis.

Alfred Nesser

I could introduce you to someone, but can't guarantee anything. You'd have to be in Concord, MA USA on a Tuesday night.

Janet Biery

Impressive work, love the bad hair clips especially. I've written a novel and two scripts set in the west, not an expert by any means - but it's a fascinating setting for me. Would be happy to hear your ideas and offer feedback.

James Dillon

I am cowboy I would love to be in your future film just reaching out I am new face in industry .... happy new year
