Hello, Hello, I know of a few of the main film festivals in Texas (DIFF, LSF, Dallas VideoFest, Austin Film & SXSW), but I wanted to know if anyone from Texas (or not) of film festivals going on this year. I just started a film blog (FIlmpster) and would love to cover some film festivals.
I'm in Austin and will definitely attend their film festival this year.

I have been searching for awhile as well. Houston used to accept amateur film & animations at the "Aurora Picture Show", but last time I checked they no longer do. If you happen to find any please pass them my way.

We should try and get a "meet up" going in either Houston or Austin. I posted in "Stage32 meetups" if you're interested.

Jaleesa - I can highly recommend the Hill Country Film Festival in Fredericksburg, TX. Great group of folks, super films and a very nice screening venue. Check it out. hillcountryff.com. I literally stumbled on it last year while in search of a brewpub, but that's another story.
HA! I'm kind of interested in the brewpub story Bill. I'm giving their website a search right now! I know Marfa has a few film festivals or rather one big one sometime this year.
If you go to HCFF, be sure to hit the opening night party at the Auslander Biergarten...but don't mention my name. Just kidding, sort of.

I think I'll go to the HCFF this year. I have two script entries there and at Austin FF. I went to Fredericksburg last week and hit the wineries. What a great little town.
