Ashley Moore: In Miami, Florida.

Hello to everyone! I want to introduce myself. One step at a time, right? My name is Ashley and I live in Miami, Florida. I went to Full Sail University with every intention to become a screenwriter and received a bachelor's degree in film and a master's degree in creative writing. I have one completed feature film screenplay under my belt, two feature film screenplays that are not quite finished/polished off, and several short film screenplays, one of which is completely finished and has been judged favorably in a contest several years ago. Unfortunately, I am a young woman with a spinal cord injury and I do need to be close to family for support, something that somehow did not cross my mind when I decided to become a screenwriter, which obviously involves moving to LA for better chances of selling a script. So, I moved to Miami 6 years ago for an administrative job, mainly to at least earn money while working on stories. I now have a project-based job for a magazine, but I would love to get more involved in either the casting, screenwriting, or book publishing industry. So far, it is difficult to find such industries in Miami. If you come across this post and I seem like someone you can advise, I would love to become part of your network and to hear from you or someone you know. I loved my experience making student films in college, many of which I was casting director for. I hope to find my "group" of people in the place I now live in. Nice to meet you!
