Star crossed lovers and a retired veteran meet the needs of forced migrants fleeing radiation fallout as a once close-knit family reunites; as time passes, the story morphs to current day historical fiction in which autism and traumatic brain injury treatment and the need for the use of nuclear fusion to replace nuclear fission in the effort to reduce climate change are explored.
SYNOPSIS:
Among the 90 nuclear fission power plants in the United States, eight have experienced meltdowns. It is said, that after a nuclear event, if one can walk away, one will live. The Jolt Saga of Survival Series follows those who walked away. As such, minimal special effects required.
When the meltdown at Magdum Heights Nuclear Power Plant occurs, injury, radiation, loss of family contacts, and the effects of mass migration force people to respond quickly. A father suffers traumatic brain injury. His wife is sprayed with fallout. Their sons take to the road to escape fallout.
And two hundred miles from The Plant, a mountain village is overrun by those fleeing radiation. The residents set up a point of distribution to decontaminate, feed, house, clothe, and medically care for the hundreds of forced migrants.
In 2022, the Jolt Saga of Survival Series Pilot achieved: Finalist Script Summit; Second Rounder Screencraft Film Fund; Quarterfinalist Vail Film Festival Screenplay Competition. Based on my award-winning Jolt Survival Trilogy novels, winner of a gold, a silver, and two bronze Jenkins’ medals. The only special effects/violence involves a dirty bomb being detonated in a vehicle and smoke coming from a power plant.

I think I understand where you're going with this but you need a little polishing on the log line.
