I write films that make the audience squirm, laugh, cry and cheer. That's because I write real life characters who the audience become invested in and truly care about and sometimes hate. I write from years of lived experience and decades of struggle with personal demons who have been conquered yet stay on the tip of my pen and inform my characters. If you're not rooting for characters and dreading situations then you're not reading one of my scripts. My voice infuses every character I create and every scene they appear in. Writing for me is gut wrenching, but it's a wonderfully cathartic process as well.
Galavanting off to a top Writer's Workshop in the 1980's with extreme delusions of grandeur and an unquenchable thirst for intoxicating elixirs, Michael's writing has been forged over decades of hard fought struggles and triumphant victories. A published book author since 2010, Michael now writes for a visual audience. Michael cut his teeth in the industry as an EA to the CTO at Starz/Lionsgate.
