An award-winning writer and former sports-talk radio show host, "Smokey Joe" brings a breadth of real-life experience to his writing. He is a 20-year Air Force veteran, Harley rider, husband, father, and professional; by day an Information Systems Project Manager; by night, he seeks vampyrrhic victories.
Joe authored "Chronicles of Shameus" with Rodney Landrum. Other writing credits include the Navarre (Florida) Press, , and a stint as 84-year old Matilda Mae Sugarbottom (of the Andalusia Sugarbottoms) for Gulf Breeze, Florida's Splash! magazine.
Broadcast credits include co-host of drive-time sports radio for WTKE in Fort Walton Beach, as well as co-host of "Your Healthy Connections" podcast and half of Mancasters comedy podcast team.
Joe currently lives in Denton, Texas, with his wife, Diane where they own Patchouli Joe's Books & Indulgences. They serve at the pleasure of the Notorious Z.O.E., their 14-year old Cocker Spaniel. He likes dogs, Nutella™, bicycling, fancy hair, and wood.
